Summer means vacation time for many families, who embark upon adventures to the ocean, the mountains and the open plains by way of trains, planes and automobiles. These expeditions lead to making memories recorded in picture albums and fuel fond reminiscing conversations – while resting in one’s mind for a lifetime.
The Williamson Herald asked several Williamson County residents, what’s your favorite vacation memory?
“When I was about 9 years old, my dad told us we
were going to Atlanta with him on business,
but he surprised us with tickets to an Atlanta Hawks v. Chicago Bulls
game when we passed by the stadium.”
Brandon Vinson, Spring Hill
“I remember having fun racing my toy hot wheel cars in the condo,
during my family vacation at Fairfield Glade in Crossville, Tenn.”
Michael Jackson, Williamson County
“I remember going to Crater Lake in Oregon as a child.
It was the first time that I had ever seen snow and a lake.
It was mesmerizing.”
Linda Paul, Arrington
“The summer that I went with my parents to Washington, D.C.,
Baltimore and New York City when I was 6 years old.
I saw every historic site there was to see. I even took Kodak
pictures in the Smithsonian.”
Nancy Conway, Franklin
