Dr. David Snowden, FSSD director of schools, Chief David Rahinsky of Franklin Police Department, Chief Don Brite of Spring Hill Police Department, Dr. Mike Looney, WCS superintendent , Chief Terry Harris of Fairview Police Department, Juvenile Court Judge Sharon Guffee, Captain Alan Laney of Williamson County Sheriff's Office,Chief Jeff Hughes of Brentwood Police Department and District Attorney Kim Helper.

Williamson County Juvenile Court reached out Thursday morning, July 25 to county and city school districts, solidifying a partnership to best serve young people in the county.
“We all see the same young people and we all want the best for them. It is important that the message is clear, we are all on the same team,” Juvenile Court Judge Sharon Guffee said.
The court hosted school administrators and area law enforcement for a breakfast to discuss the ways that Juvenile Court can intervene when the school system feels it is necessary. In addition to delinquent behavior, the schools may also contact the court for behaviors that include truancy and unruliness.
Guffee knows the importance of working closely with schools.
“It is because of our strong partnership that Juvenile Court can provide additional resources to allow a struggling child to become successful academically and emotionally,” Guffee said.
“The school system has a huge responsibility to educate our youth, and the students have a responsibility to follow the rules while they are in school.”
Brenda Hyden, Williamson County’s Juvenile Court Clerk for over 20 years, sees the impact that a strong relationship with schools can have on the success rate with the children that are served by the court.
“Williamson County has one of the best school systems in the state of Tennessee, and we are proud of our relationship with our school staff. Juvenile Court has always strived to assist the schools so that our young people can reach their full potential,” Hyden said.
