Sheriff Jeff Long named TSA Sheriff of the Year
Former Wilson County Sheriff Terry Ashe presented the award to Sheriff Long.
The Tennessee Sheriff’s Association awarded its top honor to Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Long. He was named TSA’s Sheriff of the Year during the association’s annual conference last week in Sevierville, Tennessee.
The award honors Long for his many outstanding contributions to law enforcement during his career. He was elected Sheriff of Williamson County in August 2008. He has served as an Assistant District Attorney for the 21st Judicial District, a special agent with the TBI, an arson investigator with the Tennessee Fire Marshall’s Office and was a former Captain with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
Long said it was a big honor for him to receive this award from his peers. TSA executive director and former Wilson County Sheriff Terry Ashe presented the award to Sheriff Long.
