Williamson County Trustee Earns Professional Development Certificate
The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) awarded the Chancellor’s Certificate in Public Administration: Finance Master to Williamson County Trustee, W.J. "Joey" Davis during the recent Annual Meeting of the National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers, and Finance Officers (NACCTFO) in Fort Worth, TX.
“I am honored to be a member and officer of the National Association of County Collectors and Finance Officers,” Davis said. “The University of Missouri at Saint Louis has a great training program for those wishing to learn more about being a public servant. I appreciate the opportunity given to me by the people of Williamson County to continue learning to better serve our county.”
To qualify for the certification Davis attended more than 100 hours of public administration training through UMSL’s program in Public Policy Administration in partnership with NACCTFO.
UMSL's Chancellor's Certificate Program gives county finance professionals an opportunity to keep up to date on best practices and learn to more efficiently administer the duties of their offices, according to Dr. Deborah Balser, Director and Associate Professor of the Public Policy Administration Program at UMSL.
