Obituary: Elizabeth “Libby” Shepard
Elizabeth “Libby” Shepard, age 84 of Franklin, Tenn, died on Sept.16, 2013.
She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and the Ruth Class.
She began her career working for the Assistant Deputy of Defense at the Pentagon.
After raising her children she went to work for the Tennessee Baptist Convention where she retired after 18 years of service.
She was receded in death by parents, James Fletcher and Anne Maria Clark Collins; husband of 45 years, David Gilman Shepard; sister, Sue Collins; brothers, Jimbo Collins and Frank Collins.
She is survived by daughters, Catherine (Frank) Mason, Donna (Walter) Bellisle, Jennifer (Larry) Hayes and step-daughter, Diane (Richard) Marino; brother, Gilson (Sandra) Collins, brother in-law, Harold Shepard; sister in-laws, Nancy and Hilda Collins; grandchildren, Laura Bellisle (Matt) Rainey, David (Sarah) Pursley, Andrew Bellisle and Briana Pursley; great grandchild, Carson Rainey; eight step-grandchildren; ten step-great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. Vern Powers & Pastor Sam Boyd officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St. Nashville, Tenn. 37203.
