Obituary: Candy Boswell Gower
Candy Boswell Gower, age 62, of Franklin, Tenn. died Sept. 30, 2013. She was a member of West Franklin Baptist Church and a believer and follower of Christ. She was a good and faithful servant who was very active in her church.
Gower was raised in Amory, Miss. where she attended Amory High School. She later received a B.S. of Chemistry from Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss.
She then went on to earn a Masters degree in education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was a dedicated teacher at Franklin High School from 1992-2009. More than anything she was a beloved wife and mother of four.
She was preceded by her mother, Madlyn King Boswell and sister, Sue Boswell Witcher. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Don Gower; sons, Aaron (Allison) Gower and Evan (Jessie) Gower; daughters, Meg (Craig) Luttrell and Memry (Greg) Smith; 10 Grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at West Franklin Baptist Church, Dr. Jim Harvey officiating. Burial Williamson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church.
