Obituary: Tandy Dan Mangrum
Tandy Dan Mangrum, age 72 of Spring Hill, Tenn., died Oct. 14, 2013.
He was born in Williamson County to the late Roy and Roberta Mangrum. As a young man, he received his Eagle Scout Honor and was a Boy Scout Leader. Tandy was a mail handler for USPS until retiring in the late ‘80s, at which time he started working with Goodwill Industries to train the Handicapable at on the job skills.
He was an avid fisherman, collector of ALL things (especially anything UT), loved to dance, play with his great grandbabies, and tell a good tale.
He was a member of Franklin Community Church of Faith Nazarene Church. He is survived by wife, Louise Mangrum of Spring Hill, Tenn,; daughter, Heather Dawn (Jeff) Thigpen of Lebanon, Tenn.; brothers, Kenneth (Polly) Mangrum and Nelson (Phyllis) Mangrum all of the Bethesda Community; sister, Shelia Ann (Tom) Wilson of Plattsburg, NY; grandchildren, Tammy Phillips, Arielle Rudolph, Jonathan Tandy Rudolph, and Jacob Thigpen; great grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Roman and Arianna.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ronnie Johnson officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be David Malin, Clayton Malin, Jonathan Tandy Rudolph, Aaron Malin, Ken Mangrum, Seth Mangrum, Chris Munoz, Shawn Rudolph and Mark Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Eley, Oscar White, Horace Dunnivant, Jack Pratt, Jimmy Arnold, Franklin High School Class of 1960 and members of Franklin Community Church of Faith Nazarene Church. Memorials may be made to the Tandy Mangrum Memorial Fund.
