Obituary: Shirley Ann Cole
Shirley Ann Cole, age 69, and a resident of Franklin, Tenn., passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 at NHC Oakwood in Lewisburg.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Cemetery in Nashville.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Shirley was born Aug. 23, 1944 in Nashville and was the daughter of James Ben and Thelma Knight Mealer. She graduated from Hillsboro High School at Leiper’s Fork, was a nurse’s aide at NHC Franklin (Applewood) and a member of the Triune Apostolic Church. Shirley enjoyed watching television and crocheting. She especially loved her constant companion, her dog, Missy.
Along with her husband David Cole of Franklin, she is survived by her brothers Wayne (Zelda) Mealer of Lewisburg and Dwight Mealer of Centerville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother James Robert Mealer.
Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers while honorary pallbearers will be the members and friends of the Triune Apostolic Church.
