Obituary: Rory OMore
Rory O’More, V, 66, of Hixson, went to celebrate with God on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
Rory was a retired Physician Assistant who cared for each patient as if he were caring for a dear member of his family. He served as a Corpsman E5 in the Marine Corp and also served in the National Guard. Rory is a decorated soldier earning a bronze star and purple heart as a result of his service in the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eloise and Rory O’More, IV, and a nephew Tom Campbell. Survivors include his loving wife, Jolonda; his sweet baby girl, Truffle; sister, Donna Komisar and many family members and friends that loved him dearly.
A service to celebrate Rory’s life will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, at St. Thadeus Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 at St. Thadeus Episcopal Church and from noon to 1 p.m. CST on Friday, Jan. 3, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, Tenn. with a private graveside service beginning at 1 p.m. CST. In lieu of flowers, Rory requested donations be sent to O’More College of Design, 423 South Margin Street, Franklin, Tenn. 37064.
