Mrs. Marjorie Ann Smithson Maupin, age 82 of Franklin, Tenn. passed away June 30, 2015. She retired from Kroger after 40 years and after retirement she worked for the Williamson County School System part-time as a bus aide.
Betty Sue Steele Hoover was born August 14, 1935 in Selmer, Tenn., the daughter of the late Roscoe and Clevie Willis Steele.
Roy Winston Van Hoy Jr., 87, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at home. He was born in Roanoke, Va.., February 24, 1928 to Roy W. Van Hoy Sr. and Patsy Warren Van Hoy. Known to most as “Van,” he was a loving husband and father blessed with many talents and a great sense of humor.
Robbie Biggers Alexander, age 84 of Franklin, passed away June 29, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Plez and Lera McCall Biggers, husband, Ralph “ Rooster” Alexander and sister, Rachel Jimmerson and brothers, Joe and Ross Biggers.
William Howard “Bill” Clark, Jr., 57, of Franklin, Tenn. passed away suddenly on June 29, 2015. Born in Franklin, he moved to Atlanta at age 5 and graduated from Henry Grady High School in 1975.
Paul Norwood, age 88, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. He was a native of Lawrence County, Tenn., former employee of the City of Lawrenceburg Fire/Police in the 1960s, and a retired funeral director from North Funeral Home.
Jarrett Eugene Price, age 24 of Franklin, passed away June 25, 2015. He had a contagious laugh and beautiful smile. He never met a stranger and had a kind spirit. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Graduate of Franklin High School. He attended Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Alabama. He was an avid Alabama “Roll Tide” Football fan.
Ms. Portia Ann Burgoyne, age 60 of Spring Hill, Tenn., June 26, 2015. She was an office manager for Luna Construction for 22 years. She was preceded in death by parents, Jefferson Thomas “J.T.” and Laura Grace Harris Lovett and brother, Tony Lovett. She is survived by daughters, Carrie (Rick) Rieves and Cassie (Chris) Lovvorn; brothers, Tom (Sandy) Lovett, Don (Lynne) Lovett and Jeff Lovett; sister, Teresa Bienmueller; grandchildren, Camden and Carson Rieves and Bryson Lovvorn.

Jere Wilson Trevathan, age 68 of Brentwood, Tenn. completed his earthly journey on June 23, 2015 at Alive Hospice, Nashville, Tenn. Jere was born on November 22, 1946 to the late Woodrow Wilson and Juanita Black Trevathan in Springfield, Tenn.
Mrs. Theresa Mary Bales, age 93 of Nashville died June 22, 2015 at her home. She was born in Detroit, Mi. to the late Anthony and Cecilia Nowak. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Woodrow Bales and eldest daughter, Alberta Coulehan.

Mr. Albert Willem Rivenburg, age 32 passed away June 16, 2015. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his father, Willem Kearns Rivenburg, Md. and survived by mother, Kathleen Rivenburg; grandmother, Julia Collins; brother, Richard (Jenna) Rivenburg and sister, Ann (Russ Dalbke) Rivenburg.

Mr. William “Bill” C. Ward, age 72 of Brentwood, Tenn. passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at his home. Bill was a loving husband and father. He was the kind of person who would always be there for his family and friends. Anyone who ever spoke with him could say that he had a quick wit and a vast wealth of knowledge, which he was always willing to share.

Mr. John Lovell Watts, age 66 of College Grove, Tenn. passed away June 10, 2015. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Biomedical Engineer with 35 years of service at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. He was a retired volunteer Fire Chief with 30 years of service to the community in Williamson County and the Arrington Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Kenneth Edward Dennis, age 77 of Franklin passed away June 10, 2015 at his home. Born in Claremore, Oklahoma in 1937, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army Engineering Group from 1956-1959. He was a Correctional Officer with the state of Maryland for 28 years retiring in July of 1988.
Mr. Ronald W. Kerr, age 78 of Franklin passed away June 8, 2015. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. A native of Detroit, Mich., he was an accomplished businessman in real estate and the music business.

Kent R. Davis, of Franklin, Tenn., died Tuesday, June 9. He was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1939 and attended Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation with a degree in Chemical Engineering, he began his 35 year career with The Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas.

Mr. Robert Houston Barker, Jr., age 95 of Franklin, Tenn. passed away June 8, 2015. He was a longtime owner with his wife at Western Auto in Franklin, Tenn. He was preceded in death by wife, Eva Davidson Barker. He is survived by sons, Larry (Cindy) Barker and Jerry (Betsy) Barker; grandchildren, Michael (Ann Frances) Barker and Katy Barker.

Clyde “Allin” Fadler, age 76 of Franklin, passed away June 1, 2015, while traveling abroad on a European cruise. Allin, with his infectious smile, met his wife, Lewanna, in the first grade. They married in 1959.
Mr. Ambrose Bernard Bierman, age 94 of Franklin, Tenn., passed away at his home June 6, 2015. Mr. Bierman was a veteran with the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Edwin Skinner, age 60 of Murfreesboro, Tenn., passed away June 4, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Clinton "Clint" Wilson Callicott departed this life to be with our Lord on June 3, 2015. He stood steadfast in his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His days were filled with giving to his family, wide circle of friends, and community during his sixty-six years on this earth. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn of 43 years; his sons Clayton (Molly); Claude (Lee Ann); and his grandchildren; Sarah Beth, Nolan, Ella, and Marian; brother Pled Duncan (Virginia); sister Dorris Douglass; and nieces and nephews.

Paddy Joe Lilly, 78, of Franklin, Tenn. passed away on Monday, June 1 following a short illness. Joe was a native of Elizabethton, Tenn. and a lifelong member of the Christian Church. He was a graduate of East Tennessee State University (BS) and Radford University (MS). He taught for more than 50 years at various schools including Pulaski High School (Va.), Virginia High School (Va.) and several schools in Williamson County and always recalled each student fondly.
Nashville publicist Michael “Mike” Hyland, the first publicist for the Allman Brothers Band, died May 28 at his home in Sonoma, Calif. after a two-year battle with cancer. Mike was 65.
Dennis Rongey, age 58 of Smyrna, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Stonecrest Medical Center. He was a native of Memphis and the son of the late Hardy Eugene Rongey and Zelma Azbill Carney. He was also preceded by a daughter, Jennifer Nancy Rongey.

Mrs. Sarah Workman Jordan, age 86 of Franklin, Tenn. passed away May 29, 2015. Devoted member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a long-time teacher and guidance counselor in Williamson County. After retiring, she volunteered at Williamson Medical Center for over 10 years.
