Mr. Willie Joe Netherton, age 70, Franklin, Tenn., passed away Feb. 28, 2015. He was an avid member of Holt’s Chapel Church of Christ and was employed with City of Franklin Sanitation Department for 30 years.

John Skelton Phipps, of Nashville, Tenn. passed away Feb. 25, 2015. Born in Nashville, Tenn.. John graduated from East Nashville High School and then attended Vanderbilt University. He served in the U.S. Navy for 31 months with 24 months spent in the South Pacific as a Seabee.

Marion C. Lochbihler, age 85, died Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Franklin, Tenn. Marion was born in Sylvania, Ohio on February 21, 1930. He worked as a estate broker in Ohio, Michigan, and Tennessee before retiring. Marion is survived by his wife, Joan and children Charlene (Dave) Czerniak and Mark, Scott, and Tom (Olga) Lochbihler.
Mr. Bobby Gene Emmons, age 72 of Brentwood, Tenn. passed away Feb. 23, 2015. Emmons was a legendary songwriter/musician who was most recognized for his songs, “Luckenbach, Texas,” “Wurlitzer Prize,” “Love Me Like You Used To” and “So Much Like My Dad.”

She was actively involved with adult special needs in the community. Former owner of Cooper Jewelers on Main Street in Franklin, she attended Oak Valley Baptist Church.

Irene “Rick” Whitehead, 93, died February 18, 2015 in Brentwood, Tenn., after a brief illness and complications of congestive heart failure. The mother of four, she was a longtime resident of the Suburban Hills community in West Knoxville and a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She and her husband, the late A. T. “Tom” Whitehead, moved to The Heritage at Brentwood in 2007 to be closer to their daughter’s family and attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Brentwood.

Mr. Robert Vernon Day, age 90, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at his home in Chapel Hill. Mr. Day was born in Santa Fe, Tennessee and was a son of the late John William and Tinnie M. Day. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in the Pacific Theater. After returning home, he became a machinist and retired after 37 years working for AVCO Aerostructures of Nashville. Mr. Day was of the Nazarene faith and was a member of the American Legion, Lewisburg Post 79.

Mr. James Lewis McMillan, age 82 of Franklin, Tenn. passed away February 3, 2015. A member of Berry’s Chapel Church of Christ and a lifetime resident of Williamson County, McMillan was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard after 30 years of service.
