Charles Baker “Charlie” Woodall Sr., 63, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday Sept., 12, 2021.
Mr. Woodall was born on Aug. 28, 1958 in Oakland, California. He was a longtime Tennessee resident and graduate of McGavock High School and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Charlie was a devoted father and husband; a loving son, brother and uncle; loyal friend; and beloved coach. He will be remembered as an avid fisherman, an insatiable reader, a semi-professional chef, master tinkerer and long-suffering Tennessee sports fan. Charlie loved a lively debate and was a skilled storyteller, especially around a campfire.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Sullivan Woodall; four children Haley Gall (Braden), Meghan Woodall (Josh), Charles Baker Woodall Jr. (Lizzy) and Benjamin Woodall (Kristen); granddaughters Maren and Bennett Gall; his mother, Jane Woodall; and brother, Chris Woodall.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bliss, and in-laws Susan and Duard Sullivan.
The family will have a private service. Donations can be made to Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee or Backfield in Motion.
