Edna Louise Colbert Amacher, 91, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at NHC Assisted Living of Cool Springs.
Mrs. Amacher was born in Franklin County, Tennessee, on May 1, 1930, to the late Robert and Pearl Lee (Branum) Colbert. A devoted homemaker, Edna enjoyed cooking, canning and tending to her flowers and vegetable garden, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Edna was a member of Franklin First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Riley Amacher, and siblings Charles “Tot” Amacher, Ruby Watson and Josephine McNeese.
Edna is survived by her loving children Beth Amacher (Norm Towne) of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Chris Amacher of Hickman, Tennessee; grandchildren Toby Towne, Jesse Towne, Nikki Craig, Ashley Badcock and Beck Amacher; great-grandchildren Layla and Jada Craig and Riley, Sadie and Mavrik Badcock; siblings Shirley Syler and Robert “Boots” Colbert, both of Belvidere, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at Belvidere First United Church with funeral services following at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Belvidere First United Church Cemetery. The family requests all attendees please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
