Elbert Dwight “Dobie” Heithcock, 74, of Franklin, passed away on Sept. 29, 2019.
Mr. Heithcock was a retired surveyor with the Tennessee Department of Transportation with 42 years of service. He also served with the Tennessee National Guard.
He was a loving husband, father and devoted grandfather, known as “Papa Dwight.”
He was preceded in death by mother, Gertrude “Trudy” Heithcock.
He’s survived by wife of 52 years, Patricia Davis “Patsy” Heithcock; sons, Shannon (Rebecca) Heithcock and Andrew “Andy” (Kimberly) Heithcock; father, Elbert Heithcock; sister, Debbie (Bob) Caldwell; grandchildren, Katie, Lauren, Will, Madison and Matthew Heithcock; step granddaughter, Shelby Sterling Segal; niece, Amanda Baskin; and other loving family members.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Williamson Medical Center Children’s Hospital.
