Janet Faye Jones Wright, 64, a resident of Fly Road in Santa Fe, Tennessee, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 31, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center, just one day shy of her 65th birthday.
A native of Maury County, Mrs. Wright was born on Sept. 1, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Billy Ray Jones and the late Reva Faye Blocker Jones. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and worked as an Administrative Support III for Williamson County Solid Waste Management.
Janet loved living at her Flying Colors Farm and sitting on her rocker. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing at “The Barn.” She had a special love for her horses, Dusty and Dumplin, and cats, Jinx and Topaz.
She’s survived by daughter, Kara (Scott) Blankinship of Nashville; brothers, Barry (Rosemary) Jones of Chapel Hill and Thomas “Kenny” (Carol) Jones of Memphis; soon-to-be grandson, Jobin; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points and Keith Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Lewis Bumpus, Robert “Moochie” Harrison, Richard Davis, Bill Jones, Benjamin Jones, Craig Lowe, Frank Woody, Dale Shelton and Keith Baker. The employees of Williamson County Solid Waste Management will serve as honorary pallbearers.
