Larry Edward Hinds, 83, passed away on July 26, 2019.
A lifelong resident of Nashville and Franklin, Mr. Hinds graduated from West End High School in 1954 and Vanderbilt School of Engineering in 1959. He worked for the state of Tennessee, TDOT division, before retiring in 1998.
Larry was an avid tennis player and loved his yearly trips to the beach.
His parents, Paul and Rebecca Hinds, and his beloved wife of 61 years, Catherine Cope Hinds, preceded him in death.
He leaves behind a son, Denny Hinds (Debbie) of Nashville; daughter, Laurie Pyle (James) of Franklin; granddaughter, Andrea Keller (Louis); and two great-granddaughters. His sisters also survive him, Faye Basford, Paula Chism and Kathleen Dietz (Burton), as well as a sister-in-law, Barbara Cope Lacey, and her husband; special friend, Russell Lacey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Aug. 9, 2019, at Harpeth Christian Church, 1101 Gardner Dr. in Franklin. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with service beginning at 7.
