Nicholas Arthur “Nick” Harrison

Nicholas Arthur “Nick” Harrison, 37, of Clemmons, North Carolina, died on Sunday, July 21, 2019.

Mr. Harrison was born in Nashville and raised in Spring Hill, the son of Billy Harrison and Cindy (Don) Quinlisk Jones.

He was called to the sport of racing at an early age. Immediately after finishing Spring Hill High School in 2000, he began to pursuit his dreams. Over the years, he has made his family and small town proud by creating quite a name for himself in NASCAR. Nick was most previously the crew chief for Justin Haley’s No. 11 Chevrolet in the Xfinity Series.

Nick made his racing debut as an Xfinity crew chief in 2006. He was a crew chief for 184 Xfinity races and had five victories. He worked 120 races as a crew chief in the Cup Series with victories there as well.

Allmendinger, Brendan Gaughan, Owen Kelly, Jacques Villeneuve, Regan Smith, Ryan Truex, Mike Bliss, Justin Allgaier, Max Papis and Michael McDowell.

In addition to racing, Nick enjoyed being around his family and friends. He loved people and was a friend to everyone he met. He had a super, large, fun-loving, personality. He lit up the room with his laugh.

Nick enjoyed spending his off time with his fiancé, Nancy, and their dog, Uno. He also cared deeply for his nieces and nephews. He loved his title as “Uncle Nick” and made sure to help encourage each niece and nephew to follow their passion, as he did.

Nick valued family. He loved to make people smile. He was a giver. It brought him joy to spoil the people he loved, especially Nancy, his mother, his father, his brothers and their kids.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Sally Quinlisk and George Harrison and Earline Earwood; uncles, Jerry Quinlisk and Roger Harrison; and aunt, Cathy Quinlisk.
