Jean Gary Sanders, 83 of Franklin, Tenn., died Jan. 27, 2010.
She was a retired administrative assistant for the Williamson County School System.
Her family was among the first settlers of the Bethesda Community where she continued to live and love the area. She was a lifetime member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, which was built upon land donated by her family. She was a gracious and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Sanders and sister, Catherine Gary. She is survived by sons Gary (Sandra) Sanders of Franklin, Tenn. and Steve (Catherine) Sanders of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Lynn (Jerry) Winters of Nashville, Tenn. and Dena (Don) Abbinante of Burns, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home; Jim Cawood and Dr. Harry Hassall officiated. Interment will be in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Henrietta Sanders, Roy Chapman, Sandy MacPherson and members of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
