Sandra Walters, obituary
Cherished mother and friend of all, Sandra Diana Walters, died Dec. 23, 2012.
Like the Lakota Sioux warrior she was – with great spirit, strength and grace – she will be missed and live on through her children, Shawn-Michelle Surber, Stephen Marcus Surber and Danny K. Watson, Jr., her dearest love, Jerry Lee Surber, her brother and his wife (sister-in-law) Jim and Lorraine Walters and her oldest friend, George B. Shields. Mrs. Walkers is an angel now much like she was when she was here. And while she was with us, though only 65 years young, she was a light and a gift in everyone's life that ever met her. She was a great, wise soul and believed that we are all one and we are all connected – in her Native words: 'Mitakuye Oyasin'.
Peace and Love, together forever, dearest one. You will live on in every ray of sunshine, every dragonfly, butterfly and gentle breeze. Look no further than in your heart and you will find her there singing. Her talent, magic and light will shine on. Look for ladybugs. She sends those as a reminder that she is ever-present. May we all walk in beauty in her honor. We celebrate her new adventure with The Great Spirit.
A Celebration of life will be determined at a later date. Condolences may be sent in her name in the form of a donation to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Walters worked for 17 years in the Grassland area of Franklin at the dry cleaners.
