Bing Crowell, obituary
Bing Crowell, 75 of Franklin, Tenn., died Jan. 18, 2013.
He was the retired owner and operator of Honda Motorcycle Dealerships in Columbia, Murfreesboro and Nashville, Tenn.
Mr. Crowell was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who began his career carrying newspapers in Franklin in the 1950s on a Whizzer Motorbike. He was preceded in death by wife, Jessie Faye Jones Crowell; parents, Hoyte, Sr. and Geraldine Givens Crowell. Mr. Crowell is survived by sons, Preston Crowell of San Mateo, Calif. and Bing (Yuka) Crowell of Anaheim, Calif.; daughter, Becky Crowell of Franklin, Tenn.; brothers, Milton (June) Crowell of Franklin, Tenn. and Thomas Crowell of Indianapolis, Ind.; sister, Nancy (Donald) Burke of Franklin, Tenn.
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 21, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment followed in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers were: Luke, Glenn, Clay, Mickey and Keith Crowell, P.B. “Chubby” Crowell, III, David Mefford, Mark Burke and Trent Golden. Honorary pallbearers: Harold Givens, Bobby Epps, Kenneth Mangrum and former employees of Crowell’s Cycle Sales & Crowell’s House of Honda.
