Obituary: Elizabeth Marie Harris
Mrs. Elizabeth Marie Harris, 84 of Franklin, Tenn., died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Overton County Nursing Home in Livingston, Tenn.
Mrs. Harris was born in Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., Oct. 26, 1928, and was the daughter of William “Buddy” and Florence Ralston. She was a graduate of Haylong High School, and retired as a switchboard operator with the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and loved spending her time with her dogs.
Elizabeth was the last of 10 children. Four of her siblings died in infancy, and the others who preceded her were Buddy Ralston, Bessie Kelly, Louise Young, Vivian Erwin, and Gene Ralston. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leland Howard Harris in 1982.
She is survived by a daughter: Teresa White of Crossville, Tenn.; two grandchildren: Tracy Roberson and Troy Hendrickson; and five great-grandchildren: Isabella Hendrickson, Austin Hendrickson, Cheyenne Barnett, Beau Roberson, and Jackson Roberson.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in Morton Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Loved ones are encouraged to share condolences with the family at the Heritage Funeral Home website www.TnFunerals.com.
