Obituary: Melvin King
Melvin King, 64, of the Boston community, died August 19, 2013. He was a long-time self-employed logger.
He is preceded in death by father, Eugene King; wife, Delaine King. Mr. King is survived by mother, Leecy King of the Boston community; daughter, Stephanie (Anthony) Stanfill of the Theta community; brothers, W.E. (Anita) King of the Theta community, Joe (Brenda) King of the Peytonsville Community and Lester King of the Boston community; sister, Estelle (Gary) Denton of the Boston community; grandchild, Alaina Stanfill; nieces and nephews, Karen Cooper, Robin Davies, Jack Denton, Leecy Sanders, Joey and Jason King, Misti Johnson and Todd King; several great nieces and nephews; special friend, Teresa Byram.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Gary Fewell officiating. Interment Sparkman Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Joey and Jason King, Jack Denton, Todd King, Timmy Byram and Jimmy King. Honorary pallbearers: Nick King and Bubba King, Gary Denton, Colton Sanders, Leon Harris, Joey Davis, Junior Walls, O.N. King, Gary Hay, Mike Shipp, Jackie Reed, Terry Anderson, Paul Wilkins and the Tennessee Mule Pullers Association. Memorials may be made to Sparkman Cemetery Fund, care of Gary Denton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and any time prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Arrangements are made by Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
