Obituary: Samuel Wayne Overton
Samuel Wayne Overton, age 61 of Madison, Tenn., died Nov. 10, 2013. He was born in Maury County and a 1971 graduate of Columbia Central High School.
Overton was a Materials Coordinator for Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Kitty Mangrum Overton, who passed away March 21, 2013; mother Gertrude Storey and sister, Linda Dugger.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Sheryl (Raleigh) Holtam, Melissa Watson, Scott (Tina) Vandiver, Paula (Donta) Kelly, Leslie Mangrum, Michelle (Shaun) Smith, Nicholas (Kelly) Mangrum, Holly Crafton, Kathy Crafton, Jimmy (Adrianne) Crafton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul (June) Mangrum, Pete (Teresa) Mangrum, Sandra Crafton, Bodie (Linda) Mangrum; honorary grandchildren, Will Mangrum and Cadie Smith and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Paul, Pete, Bodie and Nicholas Mangrum, Jimmy Crafton and Shaun Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be VUMC Special Friends. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and noon until service time on Wednesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3009 Columbia Ave. 615-794-2289, www.williamsonmemorial.com
