Obituary: Joan Ruth Collier
Mrs. Joan Ruth Collier, age 84 of Franklin, Tenn., died Jan. 25, 2014. Collier was the first full time executive director of the Williamson County Board of Realtors and retired after several years of service. She also previously worked with Cross Properties. She was always inspirational to others with her full colorful life.
MeMe entertained her grandchildren on several holidays and was very unpredictable. She was preceded in death by husband of 56 years, Wiley Carter Collier. She is survived by sons Wiley Carter (Ruth) Collier, Jr. and Christopher A. (Jeannie) Collier; daughter Caryl Ann (Mike) Giles; brother Jack A. Mochamer; grandchildren, Bo, Sara, Ryan and Erin Collier, Jessica Payne, Doug and Cole Giles; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Carolyn Kokenge, Dr. Ryan Mire, Linda Scheffler, J.L. Clay Center Divas and Bridge Player Buddies.
