Obituary: Virginia Latimer Parish
Mrs. Virginia Latimer Parish, age 92, of Nashville, passed away on February 8, 2014. Mrs. Parish was born on June 20, 1921, to the late Noel A. McWherter and Carrie Harding. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart D. Parish; son, William "Bill" McWherter Hamilton; and brother, Glen Stephenson.
Mrs. Parish lived a full and blessed life. She was a member of Community Church of Hendersonville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved her family and looked forward to being with the Lord and her loved ones.
Mrs. Parish is survived by her daughter, Teena M. Hamilton of Gallatin, Tenn.; sons, Jim (Judy) Hamilton of Paris, Tenn., Garry (Wendy) Latimer of Brentwood, TN, Steve (JoAnne) Latimer of Plano, TX, and Greg Latimer and Rodney Latimer of Nashville, Tenn.; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Pastor Doug Varnado and Jamie Steele shall lead a Celebration of Life ceremony to honor Mrs. Parish on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. Interment will follow in historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family members serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
