To the editor,
As the pandemic continues to take precious lives, sicken millions and leave families missing loved ones that have gone so soon, we must remember that there is hope and a light at the end of this tunnel.
We must work together to combat this pandemic and put aside opinions of whether one person is right or the other is wrong. We must think about each other and not only about ourself.
It is our own choice whether we wear a mask when we are going to be around others. If we don’t wear one because we believe it hinders our freedom, at the very least, we should make a personal choice to protect ourself, but we should do it for our fellow brothers and sisters in this world because we are all one in the same when it’s all over in the end.
As a Marine, we are trained to fight our enemy to destroy it. This virus is an enemy, and right now our only defense seems to be masks and social distancing. Let’s help keep each other safe and not worry about politics until we are all well.
Lastly, but not least, please thank a health care professional whenever you see them. They are working hard to help us stay well and continue living so that we can get back to our normal lives.
