The civilian experience in Franklin during the Civil War was much more than the Battle of Franklin. From the time of Tennessee's secession and entry into the War, through Union occupation, through the November 30, 1864 Battle and aftermath, Franklin's citizens were forever scarred by their experiences. Franklin on Foot, the guided walking tour company, is offering a new walking tour exploring the experience through the eyes of those who lived through it.

Costumed reenactors will narrate first person accounts of the interesting, sometimes shocking and often tragic lives and deaths of some of the inhabitants of Franklin's Rest Haven and Old City Cemeteries in downtown Franklin Oct. 31 from 7-9 p.m.
