Battle Ground Academy announced this morning their intention to move to the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association’s Division II-A effective in the 2013-2014 school year. At their current enrolment, BGA had the option of staying in Division II-AA with larger schools or moving down a classification with schools of equal or lesser size and had to declare their intention by mid-October.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association’s Board of Control meeting regarding reclassification for football across Tennessee has been rescheduled for July 16.It is the third time a meeting on this topic has been delayed with the most recent being pushed back from July 12 due to two members of the nine-member board being unable to attend. Prior to that, the discussion was tabled on June 14 so members could receive more input from schools.
The most anticipated item presented at last week’s Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association Board of Control meeting will have to wait for a resolution.
