Hoops: Brentwood wins last second shootout at Franklin

It was a classic battle between two of the oldest rivals in Williamson County Friday night and Brentwood won a traditional barnburner over Franklin 54-53.

Collin Hensel had one of the best games of his high school basketball career, but it took all of his 28 points to finally put away Centennial Friday night, as his Summit Spartans went on the road and grabbed a 63-53 victory.

Upward Stars basketball draws from county

Drew Giudice could do a lot of things with what little spare time he has.  A graduate assistant on Coach Rick Byrd’s Belmont Bruins basketball team while working on his master’s degree, a monster schedule for even young man, instead of relaxing, Giudice serves as a coach for Upward Stars Nashville.
