Franklin softball tourney cancelled due to weather

The Franklin/Sonic softball tournament scheduled to start Friday was cancelled due to weather forecasts for the weekend.

Myers honored at University School

Franklin native Virginia Lou (Ginnie) Myers was recently honored by University School of Nashville by having her basketball jersey retired in ceremonies related to the school’s 100th anniversary.

Baseball: Brentwood squares series with Franklin on the road

If Brentwood had only gotten a three-hit complete-game pitching performance from Dabney Dickenson, or only a three-hit outing with three RBI from Korey Bell, Franklin may have had a chance in Tuesday’s District 11-AAA matchup.
