Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 and the city of Nashville’s phased reopening plan, the TSSAA has made plans to move the 2020 Cross Country State Championships to Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville.

The championships will also take place over two days, Nov. 5-6, instead of the traditional one-day event in order to allow for safe social distancing. The complete schedule is included below.

2020 Cross Country State Championship Schedule

Thursday, Nov. 5

10 a.m. - DI Large Class Girls' Championship

10:40 a.m. - DI Large Class Boys' Championship

2 p.m. - DI Small Class Girls' Championship

2:40 p.m. - DI Small Class Boys' Championship

10:40 a.m. - DII AA Boys' Championship

This November's event would have marked the 50th consecutive year of running the state cross country meet on the Steeplechase Course at Percy Warner Park. Percy Warner Park became the long-time home of the Cross Country Championships in 1971. The first state cross country meet was held in 1960 at Memphis State University in Memphis.
