For the first time this season, three Williamson County teams cracked the Associated Press Top 10 statewide poll in Class 6A.

Independence, which rallied to win a fifth consecutive game in Week 6, entered the Class 6A rankings at No. 10 this week. The Eagles (5-1) join Ravenwood (No. 7) and Brentwood (No. 5) as they prepare to battle the Bruins in a crucial Region 6-6A matchup Friday.

Both Brentwood (5-1) and Ravenwood (4-1) stayed steady week-over-week.

In Class 5A, Summit (6-0) held strong at No. 5, while Region 5-5A rival Page slipped out of the poll. The two battle Friday in another crucial county contest.

The unbeaten Knights of Nolensville also stayed at No. 5 in Class 4A.

In Division II, Battle Ground Academy (4-2) fell to No. 4, down one spot from last week in DII-AA, while Brentwood Academy (5-1) stayed at No. 2 in DII-AAA.
