The Christ Presbyterian Academy boys basketball advanced to the Division II-A Middle Region District 3 championship by blasting past Battle Ground Academy Friday in Nashville.
The Lions clinched an 88-50 victory over BGA, which fell into the third-place contest in the district with the regional set for next week.
CPA sank 15 3-pointers in the contest, had 13 players scored and built an early lead that only grew from the start.
Braden Zapp and Braeden Moore each knocked down four triples for CPA. Zapp led the game’s scoring with 22 points, while Moore tallied 19. Evan Shiflet added 15 points in the win.
CPA will host Webb Saturday in the district finals. Webb defeated Columbia Academy Friday 73-65 to reach the championship.
BGA will host the Bulldogs Saturday for third place. Both games will start at 6 p.m.
Brentwood Academy girls 37, Father Ryan 31
Caroline Clemmer scored eight of her 14 points in the fourth quarter and the Lady Eagles squared the season series at 1-1 with he Lady Irish on Friday.
Millie Brown added nine points and Jaila Lee tacked on six for Brentwood Academy, which avenged a last-second loss at Father Ryan last month.
Sydnie Clunan scored 11 points to lead Father Ryan.
