Soccer – Brentwood Academy at Battle Ground Academy

Alyssa White of BGA, No. 27

Battle Ground Academy scored the first two goals Tuesday to post a 2-1 season-opening victory over Spring Hill in Franklin.

Sophomore Alyssa White opened the scoring in the 30th off a pass from freshman Cat Schrieber. Just three minutes later, junior Sara Evans tallied an unassisted goal for the 2-0 lead before the half.

Weather pushed through Williamson County and forced several matches to cancel, but after an extra 40-minute delay, BGA and the Lady Raiders returned to the field.

Spring Hill scored in the 49th, but couldn’t find the equalizer.

The Lady Wildcats travel to Cane Ridge Thursday with a 5 p.m. kicked. The Lady Ravens fell 4-2 at Summit on Tuesday.
