The Franklin girls soccer team endured a bit of weather delay Thursday but scored the first two goals in a 2-1 win against Siegel.
The match, which was played on the Franklin High School turf field, was postponed for about an hour due to weather.
Avery Brown opened the scoring with a tally off an Emma Shields assist. Brenna Swiger followed with another goal assisted by Margaret DeFranco.
Battle Ground Academy 4, Cane Ridge 0
The Lady Wildcats overwhelmed the host Lady Ravens early in a weather-shortened match at Cane Ridge.
Freshman Keaton Mitchell scored one goal and assisted on two others for BGA. Senior Scout Speer opened the scoring with tallies from junior Sara Evans and sophomore Alyssa White that followed.
Lightening in the area delayed several attempts to restart the contest in the second half before being called. The Lady Wildcats hit the road again Tuesday at Columbia Academy at 5 p.m.
Brentwood volleyball 3, Harpeth Hall 0
Brentwood claimed a 25-14, 25-19, 25-23 non-conference sweep of Harpeth Hall on Thursday night. The win comes on the heels of a sweep at Siegel in a Class AAA championship rematch on Wednesday night.
Shaye Eggleston tallied 19 kills with eight digs and a pair of aces to lead the Lady Bruins. Piper Drazek handed out 41 assists and Haley Sanders scooped up 12 digs.
Rylie Kael added nine kills and both Zoe Oldham and Hollye Tate chipped in six apiece.
Brentwood moved to 3-0 to open the 2019 season.
