The Summit volleyball team won a fourth consecutive District 12-AAA match on Thursday in Spring Hill.
The Lady Spartans tipped visiting Ravenwood 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-23 and improved to 4-2 overall in the league standings. Summit, Ravenwood and Page all stand at 4-2 in the district behind No. 1 Brentwood (6-0).
Ellie Driver collected 12 kills and Destiny Cherry added nine kills for the Lady Spartans Thursday. Jadyn Brackins had 17 assists, while Riley Golias tallied 11 digs and Rebekah Frey served six aces in the win.
Carly Cooper led the Lady Raptors with 27 assists, 20 digs and three assists, while Kelsie Dawson had 12 kills and three blocks. Both Madison Bidwell (8 kills) and Camille Spencer (7 kills) also helped pace the Ravenwood offense and combined for 17 digs and Becca LePore scooped up another 15 digs.
Brentwood def. Franklin, 3-0
The Lady Bruins stayed unbeaten with a 25-18, 25-11, 25-9 win over the Lady Rebels Thursday.
Shaye Eggleston led Brentwood with 16 kills and seven digs, hitting .429 on the night. Rylie Kael and Mary Oldham combined for another 16 kills with three blocks coming from Oldham as well. Piper Drazek set 35 assists for the Lady Bruins and Hollye Tate served four aces.
Brentwood will join Ravenwood at the Back to the Boro tournament in Murfreesboro over the weekend.
Battle Ground Academy def. Zion Christian, 3-0
The Lady Wildcats posted a 25-7, 25-10, 25-10 win Thursday.
Christine Jewell and Hana Robertson each tallied seven kills with three aces provided by Robertson as well. Ally Newkirk and Campbell Dobbs combined for 23 assists and Izzy Northham had 12 digs.
BGA moved to 6-2 in district play.
Franklin 7, Hendersonville 0
The Lady Rebels soccer team traveled north of Nashville and Megan Wroblewski netted a hat trick as Franklin earned a shutout.
Charlotte Menko earned the clean sheet in goal for Franklin.
Margaret DeFranco dished out four assists in the match, while Avery Wells, Emma Shields, Brenna Swiger and Anna DeFranco all added goals. Anna DeFranco and Liva Jensen each had an assist.
Pope John Paul II 4, Brentwood Academy 0
The short-handed Lady Eagles fell in shutout against PJPII.
PJPII struck first late in the first half, but then scored in the 69th, 74th and 78th to blow open a lead.
Felicity Chandler made one first-half save, while Ali Haynesworth recorded six saves in the second half for BA. The banged up Lady Eagles dressed just 14 players with a variety of injuries.
