Soccer: BGA advances, set to host region semifinals

Soccer – Christ Presbyterian Academy at Battle Ground Academy

FRANKLIN – The Battle Ground Academy girls soccer team began postseason play with a 7-1 victory over University School of Nashville on Tuesday in Franklin. 

Eva Schrieber netted a hat trick for the Lady Wildcats, including scoring back-to-back goals in the 16th and 18th minutes Tuesday, while Alyssa White added two tallies and an assist.

Kennedy Price and Cat Schrieber each added a goal and two assists in the win and Phoebe Lott was also credited with an assist.

Laurel Phelps recorded two saves for BGA and Sophia Schultenover also stopped a shot.

BGA advanced to the Division II-A Middle Region semifinals against Providence Christian Academy Thursday night at 7 p.m. at BGA. The other semifinal will also be played at BGA with Nashville Christian School facing Grace Christian Academy at 5 p.m.
