The Franklin and Independence girls soccer teams battled to a 1-1 draw in a District 12-AAA contest Tuesday at Franklin High School.
Amanda Williams scored the equalizer for the Lady Rebels unassisted. Independence struck first in the first half.
In other district action, Brentwood scored twice late in the second half to slip past Summit 3-1. The Lady Spartans struck inside the first 30 seconds of the match when Mia Martinez slipped a pass to EG Pence.
At Centennial, Ravenwood posted a 6-2 win.
Courtney Hill scored two goals, while Nora Henderson, Mia Fraser, Maddie Gleason and Marcela Forero Pretto each added tallies in the Lady Raptors win.
Battle Ground Academy 8, Franklin Road Academy 0
Kennedy Price recorded a hat trick and BGA scored six goals in the second half to run away with a district win against FRA.
Sara Evans opened the scoring in the 2nd minute for the Lady Wildcats and Price tacked on her first tally in the 37th for a 2-0 lead at the half. Eva Schreiber made it 3-0 in the 49th and Price followed with back-to-back goals in the 52nd and 60th. Bella Bugg, who had a busy day competing at state golf as well, scored in the 66th, Sarah May followed with a tally in the 67th and Dalia Diab closed the scoring in the 73rd.
Keaton Mitchell added two assists in the win and Paige Shea secured the BGA shutout with three saves.
The Lady Wildcats (5-2) will host Giles County on Thursday for senior night.
Grace Christian Academy 5, Fairview 0
Both Gabby Jones and Mary Bradley Myers scored two goals to lead the GCA soccer team to a shutout of visiting Fairview 5-0 near Leiper’s Fork.
Kay Nathan also scored for the Lady Lions, who celebrated senior night and will end the regular season next week against Ensworth.
