A handful of local girls soccer standouts were included in the 2019-20 National High School All-American list by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Brentwood landed four girls on the national list, led by graduated seniors Kate Devine, Morgan Greene and Elle Scott, while junior Haley Hannah also received an All-American nod.
The Lady Bruins produced a near-perfect record last season and national ranking before falling against rival Ravenwood – their only loss – in the Class AAA championship last November. The Lady Raptors Tori Case, also a graduated senior, was recognized as well, along with another District 11-AAA standout in Independence’s Sydney Hammond, another graduated senior.
Division II-A champion Battle Ground Academy was represented by junior Kennedy Price, while Christ Presbyterian Academy – who the Lady Wildcats edged for the title – had two players honored in junior Caroline Betts and senior Sylvie Keck.
Nolensville, which finished runner-up in Class AA, was represented by graduated senior Trystan Wepking.
The TopDrawerSoccer All-America package is the culmination of months of research and evaluation of the top high school-playing talent in the nation. While high school soccer is offered in the fall, winter or spring – depending on the state – TopDrawerSoccer waits until after the school year is complete to release its All-America, All-Region and state All-Stars.
The lists were compiled by TopDrawerSoccer with consultation with coaches and media members from around the country.
