Volleyball: All-District 11- and 12-AAA volleyball teams released

The regular season All-District 11- and 12-AAA high school volleyball teams were released this week with the conclusion of the district tournaments.

The Nolensville girls clinched the 11-AAA title Thursday, while Page clinched the 12-AAA title Wednesday to earn top seeds at the Region 6-AAA tournament on Tuesday at Nolensville.

The Lady Knights will face Independence at 4 p.m. Tuesday to begin the regional with Page facing Ravenwood at 5:30 p.m. The winners will follow and both advance to the Class AAA Sectional round.

Junior Maggie Rickert earned the 11-AAA MVP award for Nolensville, while coach Brett Young was tabbed the Coach of the Year for the 35-3 Lady Knights.

Rickert, who is the all-time leader in kills at the school, has 367 this season to go with 237 digs and 32 blocks. Nolensville finished in a three-way tie with Ravenwood and Brentwood with a 6-2 mark in the regular season.

Independence senior Jessica Perry, a University of Connecticut commit, was named the 12-AAA MVP for the regular season, helping the Lady Eagles clinch the title with a 7-1 mark in league play.

She has 347 kills and 43 blocks on the season for Indy. Her coach Grant Harford was named the Coach of the Year.

Coach of the Year – Brett Young, Nolensville.

11-AAA Honorable Mention

Reghan Grimes, Ravenwood; Ellie Tant, Nolensville; Meredith Moody, Brentwood; Kennedy Smith, Franklin; Samantha Lein, Centennial.
