Volleyball: Brentwood stops Siegel; BGA rallies in five sets

Fresh off a District 11-AAA win over Nolensville Tuesday, the Brentwood High School volleyball team posted a four-set win over visiting Siegel on Wednesday.

The Lady Bruins claimed a 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 25-7 victory to improve to 16-3 overall. The win also avenged a five-set loss to the Lady Stars on Aug. 19.

Zoe Oldham recorded 13 kills to lead the Lady Bruins, who also received 31 assists from Dylan Sulcer and 18 digs from Meredith Moody. Ashley Miller added four aces and Cece Meyer came away with three blocks.

Despite falling behind by two sets, the Lady Wildcats rallied for a five-set victory Wednesday.

BGA pulled out a 24-26, 9-25, 26-24, 25-11, 15-5 win. Mackenzie Huntington tallied 14 kills, while sophomore Julia Santiago stepped up to scoop up 23 digs. Kyra Hampton led the offense with 28 assists and Gillian Baisden added four blocks.
