The Brentwood wrestling team produced two champions and played in the middle of the pack at the annual GP West Invitational at Brentwood High School this weekend.
The Bruins had wrestlers place in every division led by Skylar Coffey’s heavyweight win and Cooper Finch’s victory in the 145-pound weight class.
Coffey earned a first round pin of Arlington’s John Worley for the title, while Finch edged Arlington’s Dylan Cockman by a 4-3 decision.
Kizer Hensley (132) and Garner Jones (160) both took third for Brentwood, while Xander Smartt (126) was fourth and the trio of Zach Ordonez (106), Peter Krivaka (170) and Noah Dixon (220) all earned fifth.
Brentwood finished with 135.5 team points, just behind fourth-place Beech (139). Wilson Central claimed the team title by racking up 247 points.
