Page High School extended their winning streak to five Friday night, going on the road and defeating East Hickman 34-7.
The Patriots (5-2, 5-0) were in control from the opening kickoff, scoring 28-unanswered points in the first half.
Booker Leach found the end zone first for Page on a 63-yard pass from Zak Mizell before Damian Lockridge scored on a 4-yard run and Donte DeSalle on a 33-yard catch to close the first quarter. DeSalle scored another touchdown in the second on a 30-yard catch to put the visitors on top 28-0.
Mizell connected with eight different receivers on the night, completing 16-of-31 attempts for 313 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. His fourth touchdown was an 8-yard strike to Taylor Wallace in the fourth quarter.
Lockridge was Page’s leading rusher on the night with 59 yards on eight carries.
Despite a solid effort at redemption, the No. 1 ranked team in Class 4A was just too much for the Fairview Yellow Jackets (5-3, 4-2) as they fell to Giles County 24-14. Fairview’s only regular-season losses the last two years have come against the Bobcats.
Tied 7-7 at half, Giles County commanded the third quarter with a 5-yard touchdown run by quarterback Al Cobb and a 29-yard touchdown catch from Nieco Walker. Fairview receiver Deondre Moore scored on a 17-yard catch in the fourth to bring the game within 10 points.
Cobb finished the night 8-of-13 passing for 131 yards while Walker rushed for 149 yards and had four catches for 51.
Trailing after a 14-yard Cobb run in the first, Moore evened the score with a 57-yard touchdown pass from Jack Ramey. Ramey was 11-of-22 passing for 164 yards while Moore caught six passes for 106 yards.
Ravenwood gave Oakland a scare Friday night, but ultimately fell to the Rutherford County power 27-15.
Down 14-0 after a 4-yard run by Rhett Stacey and a 68-yard punt return from Tyler Black in the first quarter, the Raptors (1-6, 1-2) battle back into contention in the middle quarters. Chris Wein put Ravenwood on the scoreboard with a safety in the second quarter before Brandon Jordan brought the home team within six on a 19-yard touchdown catch.
The score was not close for long as George Gbesee returned the ensuing kickoff 90 yards for a score.
Darryle Hood, Jr. extended the Patriot advantage to 27-8 on a 3-yard run in the fourth before Jordan scored his second touchdown on a 31-yard run.
Jordan ended the night with two catches for 26 and six rushes for 65 yards.
In their bid for a second-District 12-AA win, Summit fell at Marshall County 45-12.
