Hunter Benefield set the Page High School single-game scoring record Tuesday night with 45 points against East Hickman.
The Patriots bettered their District 12-AA record to 4-3, defeating East Hickman 91-53 thanks to a 28-7 run in the second quarter, Dylan White chipped in 13 points for Page.
East Hickman drops to 1-5 in league play.
The Rebels (10-6, 0-1) dropped their 11-AAA opener at Hillsboro (14-1, 1-0) after falling behind 16-8 in the first quarter. Garrison Matthews scored a team-high 13 points for Franklin with Colson Patton adding 11 off two 3-pointers. Hillsboro’s Jamonte Davis had a game-high 25 points.
Lewis County 45
Summit’s Makinde London scored 33 points and sunk three 3-pointers in the Spartans’ victory, improving the squad to 3-4 against 12-AA opponents. Trailing 27-21 at halftime, Summit opened the second half on a 16-3 run.
Giles County 60
The Yellow Jackets (7-4, 3-4) gave district-leading Giles County (12-2, 7-0) all they could handle. Garrett Wall scored a team-high 19 points – sinking three 3-pointers – while Grant Estes added 16 points.
Brentwood Academy 56
A 25-4 third quarter rallied the Eagles from an eight-point deficit for the victory, bettering their season record to 5-4, 1-1. Brandon Taylor led BA with 13 points while Danny McGrath chipped in with 12.
Father Ryan 57
Father Ryan (12-3, 3-0) narrowly stays on top of the Division II-AA rankings with a one-point victory over BGA (8-9, 0-2). Tied at intermission, the Irish jumped to a five-point lead in the third quarter that the Wildcats could not fully chip away. Gavin Shellnut led BGA with 15 points and three 3-pointers with Jordan Tutler contributing 13 points.
Gabriel Christian 33
In their final tune up before the start of District 11-AAA play, the Independence boys basketball team defeated Gabriel Christian Academy.
The Eagles jumped to a 42-17 lead by halftime and held the visitors scoreless in the fourth quarter.Indy was led by Cam Miller with 23 points and two 3-pointers while 10 other Eagles scored on the night.
Clinging to a 27-26 advantage at half, the Yellow Jackets put distance between themselves and the Spartans with a 17-8 third quarter run. Grant Estes scored 15 points with two 3-pointers for Fairview while Garrett Wall and Issac Edmondson each added 14. Grant Robison led Summit with 15 points.
Giles County 93
The Bobcats bettered their District 12-AA record to 6-0 with a runaway victory. Hunter Benefield led Page with 21 points while Austin Howard scored 28 for Giles County.
BGA could not hold onto a 38-34 lead through three quarters of play as Baylor outscored the visitors 14-5 in the final eight minutes. Matt Clendennen had a game-high 21 points for the Red Raiders while Brian Dangerfield and Andrew Cowie each scored nine for BGA.
Brentwood Academy 58
Corn Elder scored a game-high 19 points for Ensworth as they edged past Brentwood Academy. The Eagles hung close with the two-time defending Division II-AA state champions, cutting a 15-point Tiger lead to four with a 23-12 third quarter. Brandon Taylor led the Eagles with 16 points with Eric Henninger close behind with 14.
The Lady Rebels (7-9, 0-1) led Hillsboro (15-3, 1-0) 17-14 after one quarter of play before the Lady Burros answered in the second with a 21-5 run. Anna Patton scored 12 points for Franklin while Nicole Bowers led Hillsboro with 21 points.
Lewis County 41
The Lady Spartans (6-9, 5-2) score a big win over Lewis County (11-3, 5-2), the second place team in District 12-AA. Teondra Crawford scored 14 points for Summit while Caroline Patrick added 11.
Giles County 38
Cierra McDonald scored 17 points for Fairview in their 53-38 victory against Giles County. The Lady Yellow Jackets better their record to 7-4, 5-2.
East Hickman 11
Page’s defense was dominant Tuesday night in their victory over District 12-AA’s bottom seed. The Lady Patriots (12-4, 7-0) jumped to a 19-4 lead in the first quarter. Bria White led the team with 17 points while Cat Taylor was close behind with 15 points and three 3-pointers.

Brentwood Academy 50
BA falls to 0-2 in league play with the loss against Division II-AA leading Harpeth Hall. Trailing 45-42 after three quarters, the Lady Eagles saw Harpeth Hall go on a 16-8 run to close the game. Maren Kreid scored 16 points for BA with Jai Murphy adding nine.
Father Ryan 34
The Lady Wildcats (7-10, 0-2) could not make up a 16-8 first half deficit in their loss to Father Ryan. Caroline Abbott led BGA with 11 points while Allison Cowie added seven.
Ravenwood held Clarksville to seven first-half points on their way to victory. Lexi McKay had a team-high 17 points for the Lady Raptors with Bailey Swayze adding 13.
Clarksville’s Haley Bearden had a game-high 19 points.
Taylor Langston scored 17 points for Fairview while Tiffany Franklin added 15 in the Lady Yellow Jackets win over Summit. Caroline Patrick led the Lady Spartans with nine on the night.
Giles County 50
Bria White led the Lady Patriots with 23 points in their victory over 12-AA rival Giles County. White got help from Chloe Wiggington with 16 points and Cat Taylor with 14.
A 17-6 run in the second quarter gave Baylor a solid cushion. Caroline Abbot led the Lady Wildcats with 15 points.
Brentwood Academy 27
In a defensive struggle, Ensworth earned a come-from behind victory over BA thanks to a 12-5 run in the fourth quarter. The Lady Eagles had led 22-21 entering the final period. Hailey Pierson had a team-high 12 points for BA with Breuna Jackson adding six.
