Williamson Herald Sports Columnist Joe Biddle has been selected as one of three members to be inducted to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Hall of Fame Class of 2013.
Biddle, who has over 30 years of experience, began writing weekly columns for the Herald in August 2012. A Johnson City native and a US Air Force veteran, Biddle has worked for The Banner and The Tennessean – amongst other publications in Middle Tennessee throughout his career.
“I have been a Joe Biddle fan since I came to Nashville in 1994 and Joe was at The Banner,” said Herald Publisher Derby Jones. “It was an honor for Joe to start writing for us last year after many years at The Banner and The Tennessean. He brings so much experience and knowledge from all his years covering sports in this market, and we are lucky to have him.”
Alongside Biddle, the Knoxville News Sentinel’s John Adams and Harold Harris will be inducted to the Hall of Fame. Ceremonies are scheduled for July 11-12 at Cumberland University.
