Final Hall of Champion games signal opening of regular season

Five local hoops teams will complete the pre-season in the next couple of nights ast eh regular seasons for high schools lurks just around the corner.
After opening with 20-point win over neighbor Franklin Tuesday night, BGA will travel up Hillsboro Road to take on CPA.  The Lions are defending state Class AA champions in both boys and girls action.
Brentwood Academy also opened with a 20-plus point victory Tuesday night and the boys will host Gabriel Christian in what looks like another mismatch on paper.
District 11-AAA favorite Brentwood will host Cane Ridge.  Both the boys and girls teams wear the target of favorite on their backs and both proved why in Tuesday night contests.  The girls looked solid in a ten point victory over Shelbyville while the boys posted a gaudy 32-point win over the Golden Eagles.
Ravenwood will be at home, facing Upperman.  The Raptors split games with a usually very strong Hunters Lane out of Nashville on Tuesday, with the boys pulling out a tight win, while the girls lost a nail biter.
Franklin will get a chance to show improvement after a disappointing opening Tuesday night when the Rebels hit the road for Clarksville.  The girls beat BGA in the first contest while the boys took a loss.
Tomorrow night the Centennial Cougars make their opening bow, hosting Ezell-Harding for a boys/girls double header.
