New Hope hosts another evening in "Living The Abundant Life" series

John Murphy, founder of Brentwood-based Rock House Center Biblical Counseling, will present another free class for the community in his "Living the Abundant Life" series at New Hope Community Church in Brentwood.

Designed to present practical spiritual solutions to everyday problems, the second class in the series will focus on "God's Plan for Your Successful Marriage."  The session will be offered on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 6:30-8 p.m. at the Brentwood church.

“We hope to give both married and engaged couples Biblically proven tools to help them build strong marriages," Murphy said. "So many couples today are searching for how to be great partners in life and the answers are all right there in the Bible, given to us by God.  We want to help folks clearly see and understand these solutions and learn how to put them in practice. Not just for better marriages but for a better life."

The "Abundant Life" series, which in December featured a session on" Getting Right with Food," is intended to answer the question: "Do you ever wonder why we struggle to live the abundant life promised in scripture?" The sessions involve presentation, Q&As and discussion. They are free and open to the public and childcare is provided. More resources are also available.

John Murphy originally founded Rock House Way in 2006, which has become Rock House Center providing Biblical counseling to promote spiritual growth and healing based on the principles in his ground-breaking book Be Transformed - New Life Awaits.

The book is about the common call of all mankind to be transformed into God's image and reap the benefits of a new life. Be Transformed pulls together stories, personal testimony, Holy Spirit-led revelation, and the word of God to unveil this powerful truth and pose a life-changing challenge. The book was born out of John's radical conversion from a "table pounding atheist" at the age of 26 and the subsequent life of seeking to understand God's Truth, apply it in his own life and use it to help others.

New Hope Community Church is an interdenominational church that believes in the Bible and follows the teachings of Jesus Christ. The church is located at 605 Wilson Pike, Brentwood.
