A Fashion Affair hosted Franklin native and international fashion designer, Jeff Garner’s Princess Grace Tribute Collection Saturday at the Franklin Theatre. The collection was designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Princess Grace and was launched in Monaco for “Ladies in the City.”
Garner, regarded as one of the 40 top designers in the U.S., was inspired by the simple, iconic style of Princess Grace Kelly and used sustainable fabrics and plant/earth-based dyes made in Tennessee.
An unconventional designer, Garner brought 42 classic Hollywood looks to the runway.
The event was the opening act for the upcoming A Vintage Affair, which will be held April 19 in The Factory at Franklin.
Celebrating its 13th year, A Vintage Affair and associated events raise money for Williamson County charities benefiting women and children in need. Beneficiaries for 2013 include the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Williamson Medical Center, Williamson County CASA, The Davis House Child Advocacy Center, My Friend’s House, The Williamson County Library Foundation and the O’More College of Design.
