Vegas comes to Franklin Rodeo Round-Up Party features Casino Night May 3

A little piece of Las Vegas invades Franklin May 3. Casino Night at the Franklin Rodeo Round-Up Party is the enthusiastic kick-off for the annual Franklin Rodeo.

Casino Night will be held at the Factory in Jamison Hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. This year’s menu is Tex-Mex and Mexican food. A cash bar is available, with live music. Casino games, including black jack, poker, Texas hold ’em and craps, begin at 6:30 p.m.

The annual Round-Up Party sees about 400 guests each year, said co-chairman Patty Bearden. “This party precedes rodeo activities throughout the next two weeks,” Bearden said. “It’s a huge event, a community event open to the public, and all the money we raise from ticket sales and the silent auction goes to the community.” The Franklin Noon Rotary Club sponsors the Round- Up Party as well as the Franklin Rodeo May 16-18. “To date, after 63 years of rodeo, we’ve given away $2.4 million to community charities.”

The silent auction held during the Round-Up Party include big-ticket items like a foosball table, a computer, University of Tennessee themed mailbox, gift baskets and gift cards.

Tickets are $50 and are available online at Franklin and at the door.
