MAIN STREET BEAT: What are you looking forward to about the Franklin Rodeo?

Horses, broncos, and a rodeo clown, the Franklin Rodeo is coming to town! Produced by the Franklin Noon Rotary Club since 1950, the event now attracts a crowd of 15,000 to be entertained by horses, roping, bull riding and other events to take place on the dirt floor of the Williamson County Ag Expo Park.
We asked Franklin residents about what they are looking forward to at the “Doing It In the Dirt” Franklin Rodeo this weekend.

“One of my favorite memories about the Franklin Rodeo is riding a horse through the streets of downtown Franklin as a kid during the parade. It’s nice to come back as an adult and see the parade.”
Tally Osburn of Franklin

“I like to see the horses during the parade and how everyone has so much fun.”
Grace Schwarz, 11, of Franklin

“Seeing the handsome cowboys and seeing my kid’s faces light up during the excitement of the events like roping. They get to see things that they have never seen before.”
Marianne DeMeyers of Franklin

“My family has lived in Franklin for five years, but this will be our first year at the Franklin Rodeo. We’ve lived in Detroit, Chicago and Washington, D.C., so this is country living for us. We love the family atmosphere of Franklin and the affordable, fun family events.”

Chris Pikelis of Franklin
